1. Basic information
Participants in the language courses must be over 18 years of age. Participants under the age of 18 need the consent of a parent or guardian. Furthermore, each participant must personally ensure that he or she is legally resident in the Federal Republic of Germany.
2. Registration
You can register in person at our office, via our online registration or by e-mail. TRIVIUM reserves the right to deviate from the teaching times and rooms stated in the current course programmes. The online registration is binding. The transfer fee for the payment of the course fees is paid by the course participant.
3. Prices
The course fees at the time of registration or confirmation of reservation are a binding part of the contract.
4. Classification
TRIVIUM decides on a placement test, which potential participants have to take, if necessary. This test is used to assess language skills in order to protect students from misjudgements and their consequences. If a student does not agree with the evaluation of the placement test, an interview will be held with the teacher and one of the two directors. If the student wishes to attend the level not recommended, he/she is responsible for this. The interview will be recorded and signed by all the participants.
5. Resignation
If a student withdraws from attending a language course, a refund of fees already paid is no longer possible from 14 days before the start of the course. The declaration of withdrawal must be in writing.
6. Certificate of attendance
If TRIVIUM provides a certificate - for the university, public transport, etc. - no refund is possible. If the visa application is successful, no refund is possible.
7. Course level
TRIVIUM can cancel courses if there are too few participants or combine courses with the same level.
8. Insurance coverage/house rules
TRIVIUM is not liable in case of accident, illness, loss or theft of valuables. Our recommendation is to take out appropriate insurance before the arrival. Participation in events of all kinds is at your own risk. There is no insurance coverage here. By signing the contract, course participants agree to follow the house rules. The core principle of the house rules is the respectful interaction between all persons involved.
9. Special Conditions
In exceptional situations such as natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, traffic disruptions, problems in the supply of raw materials and energy, unexpected illness of the teacher, etc., TRIVIUM courses are cancelled. In these cases TRIVIUM is not obliged to pay damages.
10. Data protection
By registering, you agree that your personal data may be collected, processed and stored. The focus is on compliance with data protection regulations, so that data is used exclusively for the provision of your service.
11. Separability clause
Should individual provisions of this contract be invalid or unenforceable or become invalid or unenforceable after conclusion of the contract, the validity of the contract as a whole shall remain unaffected.
The place of jurisdiction is Duisburg.
